From Abandoned Mystery
the tactile documentation
( the project of Katerina Cherevko ( Kaliningrad, Russia), produced as part of the project Abandoned Mystery www.abandonedmystery.info
by using silicone I collect samples of surfaces of the former military bases .
The purpose is to connect these samples and to exhibit them in a gallery space a tactile documentation of our travel to abandoned military bases .
The samples of surfaces will make it possible to read through the palm of a hand and to accept the vibrations of each place .
These surfaces that I found and picked up have no great differences from other pieces of the moss, wires, grass’ roots and iron detailes, no specific features that you can recognized by the view. However they were in permanent touch with the bodies of soldiers in second world war and cold war. They absorbed their fear, memories, blood.
Just feel it by touch of the palm of your hand.
